Queens Park Rangers wonder-kid Raheem Sterling has reportedly informed Rangers of his desire to leave Loftus Road.

The Mirror are reporting that the 14-year-old starlet has moved a step closer to signing for Manchester City after notifying QPR of his desire to move.

This is in stark contrast to direct quotes by Sterling himself who told the Kilburn Times last week of his goal to reach the QPR first team.

He said: ‘Everyone’s been pretty nice.

‘They all just treat me like one of them and want me to do my best. I’d like to play a few more games for the reserves and do well in training and play for the first team eventually.

The youngster has courted the attention of England’s elite since breaking through into the QPR Under 18s, reserves and subsequently the England Under 16s.

At such a tender age he has proven one of England’s hottest commodities and Manchester City are reportedly desperate to land their target.
