QUEENS Park Rangers young reserve side defeated Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon

An experienced Tottenham side including Heurelho Gomes, Danny Rose, Jake Livermore and Giovani dos Santos, fell short once more to QPR, just a few days after their first teamers did likewise.

A goal from young forward Mo Sharif was enough on the day as QPR’s young guns triumphed at Spurs Lodge.

Boss Marc Bircham said: ‘We played really well.

‘The counter-attacking tactic we worked on yesterday worked a treat and that’s all credit to the players.

‘I’m delighted for the lads. To beat an experienced Spurs team in the manner we did is great testament to them.

‘Danny Shittu was excellent. He played the full 90 minutes and led us magnificently.’
