A second away victory on the trot. Five goals scored – none conceded. Up to 7th place on 45 points – the same as Cardiff in 6th spot and only two points behind Preston and Sheffield United in 5th and 4th places respectively. The table makes for very happy reading these days for Rs` fans – and Sousa believes there is more to come!

Talking after the game, last night, which saw Rangers run out comfortable 3-0 winners thanks to a brace from Helguson and one from Hogan Ephraim, Sousa told QPR.co.uk: “We all believe, as a squad of players, and when you believe you achieve.” Profound words indeed.

“They believe in what I have been doing with my methods and my coaching and things are now beginning to work out for us on the pitch,” Sousa told the BBC.

Having discussed the difficulties facing the Hoops from Blackpool`s pitch, Sousa admitted to QPR.co.uk that the team: “overcame a big barrier tonight with this win and I am very proud of them all.”

“This form has been coming but I am still ever so pleased with the consistency we are showing now.” Consistency is a big factor in a team`s ability to make a push for promotion and the Rs are now unbeaten in the league since December 9th, when we lost 1-0 away to Sheffield Wednesday. Indeed, Sky Sports News pointed out that Rangers have lost one game in the last eleven in the league – no mean feat!

“This is a significant victory, our second away from home in a row. Two clean sheets and five goals is a very good return and one I am proud of,” Sousa boasted to the gathering press.

Sousa was thrilled with the play that led to our first goal of the night, when Helguson and Routledge worked the ball extremely well between them whilst at the same time ensuring they were in the right positions to bring the attack to its proper conclusion: “I was particularly pleased with the first goal – it showed plenty of skill in the build-up and the finish.”

“The team is building up well and I think we are improving with each game at the moment,” Sousa opined. Opposition be afraid – be very afraid!
