Former Queens Park Rangers boss Paulo Sousa has criticised current boss Neil Warnock for his approach to the game.

The current Swansea manager has masterminded his side’s rise into the playoff places, but ahead of this weekend’s clash he seems to be preoccupied with Rangers’ tactics.

The Swans boss told the BBC of his dislike for Warnock’s tactics in the wake of this weekend’s clash

‘He is always pushing the referees for his side,’ Sousa said.

‘It’s something everybody knows and if they [referees] concede to do that it’s because they agree with that.

He added: ‘He’s the type of manager who will always encourage the players to tackle the opponents to intimidate the players and I don’t like it,

‘It’s not something I encourage my players to do because it’s not the type of football I like.

‘But from what I have seen he looks to be doing all right because he’s getting some results.’

So why is Sousa focusing on Queens Park Rangers – a quick look of Swansea’s recent form may well suggest why he may be deflecting attention away from his side.

The Swans have won only once in their last four games – scoring just once in that period. The home defeat by West Bromwich Albion makes this weekend’s clash at Loftus Road all the more important.
