Queens Park Rangers are one of several clubs interested in Rajiv van La Parra after the winger left Red Star Belgrade.
The 28-year-old is a name that will be familiar to plenty of fans in English football as the Dutchman has played for Wolves and helped Huddersfield to promotion, whilst he also had loan spells with Brighton and Middlesbrough.
However, he secured a permanent transfer away from the Terriers last year but things didn’t really work out for van La Parra in Serbia as he scored just one goal in 11 games. Now a free agent, the Daily Mail claimed that the R’s will rival Norwich, Swansea, Millwall and Blackburn for the wide man ahead of next season.
Would van La Parra be a good signing on a free?
Yes
No
And, it’s fair to say that his potential arrival divided fans. Firstly, some feared it could mean Bright Osayi-Samuel is leaving after Club Brugge had a bid rejected for the player, whilst others claimed he wouldn’t be good enough. Yet, there were a section of fans who feel he would have something to offer. Here we look at some of the reaction…
BOS going by the sounds of it

He was absolutely quality a few years ago. Haven’t heard a lot since.

Destroyed us at home when playing for Wolves once.

Looked good in a couple of games against us, but really had a dismal spell at Red Star Belgrade where he’s been released. Was meant to be on £500k p/a there, so based on that and his age I’d be surprised if he fitted our model.

Sounds like more of a Mark Hughes signing 😂😂
