36-year-old Angel Rangel was a surprising arrival at Loftus Road over the summer transfer window as he was brought into Queens Park Rangers as a free agent by former manager Steve McClaren from Swansea City.
Having seen his contract go without renewal at the Liberty Stadium, plenty of Swansea fans were unhappy with the decision and promised QPR fans we’d have a player we’d quickly grow to love. They were right and the Spaniard’s efforts on the pitch, as well as off when it came to fans on social media, has seen him go into our hearts quickly.
With 20 Championship starting appearances to his name, along with two goals returned, he proved to be absolutely key to us drawing an early line under our form given his experience and he played his part in what was beginning to look like a better campaign.
Having suffered an injury, as did other key players when optimism was high, we all know what happened to our form during that period but fans are still hopeful he will get the 12 month extension he deserves.
That might not now be the case though as he’s taken to social media once more and it sounds like his future with us is in doubt.

Over to the Board, as fans are still convinced a further deal is the only thing that makes sense.
Hope to see you back next season. ????????
