Having moaned about the negativity of The Times prediction a couple of days` ago, it is with greater joy that I spotted that Sky Sports feels more optimistic towards our beloved QPR this forthcoming season.

Far more positively, but with the caveat that Jim Magilton needs to be kept in place for the entire 09/10 season (!), in its round-up of the Championship today, Sky Sports has predicted that the Rs will finish 6th. They even offer odds of 14/1 (which I`m presuming is better than the 20/1 I read on another site?!)

They predict that Akos Buzsaky will be the key player – so let us all hope that, not only does he recapture the startling form which bedazzled us all when he first joined us; but that he stays injury free throughout the current campaign.

Elsewhere, Sky Sports are more optimistic about Newcastle`s year – predicting that they will finish 8th – with Middlesbrough coming in 4th. The third ex-Prem team, WBA, are predicted to finish 2nd. So who do they think will be champions? None other than Reading!

The team we face on Saturday (less than 48 hours to go, by the way), Blackpool, are predicted 20th; with Sheffield United 5th and Ipswich taking the final play-off place in 3rd. So, that would mean we would be facing Ipswich in the play-off semis – am I right?!
