Coventry have made a managerial change after what was an inconsistent spell under Welshman Chris Coleman, where despite useful spells they lacked the enterprise to secure a higher-placed finish.
While the Sky Blues put together a couple of positive runs, they never truly looked convincing in victory and a fresh approach was deemed to be required by chairman Ray Ranson.
Will Aidy Boothroyd be the man to bring the good times back to the Sky Blues, and lift them from their current malaise in the Championship – a division in which they’ve resided for nearly a decade?
Prediction: 19
This is where the unpredictability factor enters once more, can a new manager stimulate City to a higher placed finish? At present with the current crop of player it remains relatively unlikely.
Boothroyd, while doing an excellent initial job at Watford, hasn’t set the world alight since leaving the Hornets and is now tasked with turning the decline at the Ricoh.
Should he rekindle City and his career it would be a surprise to me, but I still find this one tough to predict, and a bottom half finish seems most likely.
