Queens Park Rangers chairman Ishan Saksena has highlighted the importance of appointing Neil Warnock to the managerial hot-seat.

Barely a couple of weeks into his new role and Saksena has already made his presence felt in W12 – encouraging coveted manager Neil Warnock to take the helm.

Since both he and Amit Bhatia have come to the fore at Rangers the mood around the club has dramatically shifted – and the appointment of Warnock is their crowning achievement to date.

Saksena himself told Sky Sports highlighted the importance of past decisions in the way the club do their business in the future.

While mistakes were made in the past – Saksena intimated – the importance lies in how these situations are rectified with the buzz word ‘stability.’

‘In retrospect certainly certain decisions could have been made differently,’ he said.

‘But I do want to reiterate the fact that all decisions were made that were made with the best intentions at heart.

‘I think we’ve realised for it and what we’ve realised is that stability is important, patience is important and what’s even more important is to hire who you think is the best person for the most important position in the club.’

These are comments that display the kind of forward-thinking mentality that the club requires at the present time, and doubtless these comments – like that of Bhatia a few days ago – will have R’s fans delighted.
