Newspapers, internet sites and message boards have all been a hive of activity during this latest International break with rumours of comings and going in Shepherds Bush. Here are a few of the latest rumours to have surfaced today, Thursday 16th October.

There are reports that Ian Dowie has spoken out on behalf of beleaguered goalkeeper Lee Camp. A local newspaper, the Kilburn Times, is citing Dowie as saying “I haven’t put him on the transfer list. Lee trains hard every day and I’ve got a good relationship with him.” Dowie also added that while he realised Camp may be disappointed with not playing first team football at the moment, he fully expected the former number 1 stopper to “crack on and keep working hard, the same as anyone else in the squad.”

In the meantime, David McIntyre has told the BBC message board that QPR are after Sunderland`s 25-year old Marton Fulop. It was Mr McIntyre who first broke the story, that the club are ready to let Camp go, early last week. Fulop is currently second string to Craig Gordon at Sunderland. Prior to joining Sunderland in 2007, Fulop (who has played with our own Akos Buzsaky at Hungarian club, MTK), has had spells with Tottenham Hotspur (2004-2007), Chesterfield, Coventry, Leicester and Stoke (the last four on loan).

Another rumour that has surfaced today is that QPR are looking at the ex-Watford striker Heidar Helguson, now with Bolton Wanderers. This has been reported in the Daily Mirror which also claims that the Rs` interest in Sunderland`s Michael Chopra has been rebuffed. There is an interesting side-note to this story. David McIntyre`s thread on the BBC message board includes the little nugget that QPR are trying to persuade Sunderland to loan then none other than – you guessed it – Michael Chopra along with Martin Fulop!

Back to Helguson – he is now 31 and an Icelandic international. During his time at Watford (from 1999 to 2005), he scored 55 goals in 174 appearances. Unfortunately, Helguson has been plagued by injuries and has only made one appearance for Bolton this season!

There is also continuing speculation about Dowie`s future, with Terry Venables being linked with a possible temporary post at the club should results not go our way in the near future. Meanwhile, Lee Cook has come out in public support of the gaffer, telling Skysports.com “We are confident in the manager and all the players are enjoying working for him, so it’s just a case of getting back to winning a ways so that the speculation can be put to bed.”

Meanwhile, have you heard the one about the Jamaican training ground bust-up? Apparently the bust-up was between Ricardo Fuller and Damian Stewart, and his brother Demar Stewart. It apparently started between Fuller and the younger Stewart, who had been challenging Fuller in a manner which didn`t please the said Mr Fuller! After heated words the exchange became physical, at which stage Damian stepped in (apparently) to help his little brother out! You will be pleased to know that everyone resolved their issues, shook hands and made up afterwards!

My, and I thought the international break was going to be dull and boring! Not a chance!!!
