Vital QPR takes a look at the potential ins and outs in W12, as the gossip begins to pick up in the build up to January.

Coming In…

Leroy Lita from Reading

Former Bristol City forward Leroy Lita has been the subject of much interest in the papers with respect to a move to W12.

Currently away from the Madejski Stadium on loan at Norwich City – Lita has failed to net so far in his loan spell, but nevertheless the Hounslow Chronicle have linked the R`s with a move for teh striker following the completion of the six game loan spell.

“Rangers hope to lure the Reading striker away from their rivals in the Championship once Lita’s loan spell is up at Norwich at the end of the month.”

A youngster at Chelsea, Lita never got the opportunity at Stamford Bridge, after impressing in Leroy Roseinor`s Bristol City reserve side, he was soon put on first team duties as 31 goals in 85 appearances propelled the Robins into the Championship.

A £100k move to Reading saw him able to ply his trade in the top flight – where he has only managed to score 19 goals in three years. He has had subsequent loan spells with Charlton Athletic and Norwich City seemingly on his way out of the Madejski Stadium.

Clint Dempsey from Fulham

American international Clint Dempsey was the subject of interest once more, for a possible loan spell, but according to the Hounslow Chronicle the deal was shelved due to the injury woes of the R`s West London rivals.

An R`s Insider told the Hounslow Chronicle: ‘We need some extra firepower to make sure the promotion plan remains on track.’ – Hardly required an insider to tell you that one I feel!

Dempsey is an attacking midfielder who can also be deployed as a striker, and he comes with a wealth of international experience scoring 9 goals in 28 appearances for his native USA.

The 25 year old made the £1.5m move from New England Revolution to Fulham back in the January transfer window of 2007. If this deal is tacitly dependent on Fulham`s injury list it may well be resurrected at a later date as the likes of the £6m rated Kamara gets back to full fitness.

Reuben Noble-Lazarus from Barnsley

Teamtalk covered the brief story that the R`s and Aston Villa are set to battle it out for the signature of Barnsley youngster Noble-Lazarus.

The machinations of the deal were not stated in a brief passage, but as Barnsley`s youngest player in history he is certainly a forward with potential.

Not allowed to play for his school football team and currently paid in pizza, Flavio Briatore may have spotted a window of opportunity to pick up a bargain. If 15 year old Noble-Lazarus has pizza on the brain, what better place to come than the Italian end of W12?
