Queens Park Rangers will be missing two players this weekend – while there is better news for Gary Borrowdale.
Marcus Bent appeared uncomfortable as he left the field on Tuesday night, feeling his hamstring after ten minutes following an aerial challenge.
Physio Paul Hunter has now confirmed that he will be sidelined for the weekend at least as they assess the Birmingham loanee’s complaint.
Hunter told QPR.co.uk: ‘It wasn’t too serious, but he did the right thing by telling us that he’d done it as we didn’t want to make it any worse.
‘He’s had an assessment and it isn’t looking too bad. We have sent him for a precautionary scan and that should give us more of an idea on the timescale of his absence.’
Peter Ramage will return following a one match ban but Mikele Leigertwood faces a further two games on the sidelines following his lunge at Tommy Rowe in the defeat at Peterborough.
Meanwhile Gary Borrowdale was on the bench against Ipswich and will once again come into the reckoning this weekend at the Ricoh Arena.
The defender who played for Coventry City prior to signing for QPR has proven a useful player at full-back and will vie with loanee Matt Hill for the spot.
