Queens Park Rangers’ Sporting Director Gianni Paladini has revealed the club have had a bid rejected for Scunthorpe United striker Gary Hooper.

The forward who played against QPR this weekend has been on fire for the Iron scoring 33 goals in all competitions last season.

Paladini today (Tuesday) revealed to the BBC that Rangers had been thwarted in their bid to sign the prolific striker. Whether this is the end of the deal remains to be seen as Paladini showed today in signing Watson that he can be patient for his targets.

  • A shame in my opinion – looked a very busy player on Saturday and looked a six yard box man judging by that chance at the death.. looked to be going wide and he poked it goalbound from nowhere… lucky it rolled just wide!
