Romone Rose has returned to Queens Park Rangers at personal request after a brief loan spell at Cheltenham Town.

The young winger made only one appearance for Martin Allen’s side in the crushing away defeat to Accrington Stanley.

He was an unused substitute against Macclesfield Town in the subsequent game, before playing half a Gloucester Senior Cup tie at full back against rivals Gloucester City.

Manager Martin Allen has since been placed on gardening leave pending investigation into an incident involving outside a night club.

Caretaker boss John Schofield told ctfc.com that Romone requested to return to QPR.

‘Romone asked if he could return to QPR and we agreed to his request,’ he said.

‘It’s been a difficult few weeks for everyone and Romone felt that he wanted to go back to his club so we respected his decision.’

That was the second loan spell of the season for Rose having had a previously unsuccessful stint with League Two strugglers Northampton Town.
