Paul Tierney from Lancashire will referee only his second Championship fixture as QPR host Plymouth Argyle tomorrow evening.
A new addition to the National List of Referees this season Mr Tierney has taken charge of 16 fixtures thus far this season.
The former linesman has broken through this season taking charge of Macclesfield’s 4-0 home defeat by nouveau-riche Notts County.
Nine League Two games in total, along with four League One fixtures makes Mr Tierney an inexperienced official at this level.
This season Mr Tierney has taken charge of 16 games, dishing out 44 yellows and four reds, giving him an average of 3.00 cards per game.
