Fulham are set to swoop for Queens Park Rangers target Daniel Cousin according to reports today.

Rangers had lined up a deal to take the striker on loan, but with the player away on international duty with Gabon he is yet to finalise the deal in writing.

Now Rangers’ West London neighbours Fulham have been alerted to the form of the striker in the African Cup of Nations after injuries to Clint Dempsey and Bobby Zamora.

The Cottagers have been interested in Cousin’s services previously but were blocked from signing him from Glasgow Rangers because he had already played for the Gers and Lens that season.

This news comes against the backdrop of agent Willy McKay’s previous statement: ‘The two clubs have agreed a loan deal for Daniel,’ referring to QPR on January 6.

The attraction of Premier League football will undoubtedly be a stumbling block in his move to QPR – and it depends on whether the player and his agent uphold their previous verbal agreement.
