The proposed deal that would take Donovan Ricketts from Bradford City to QPR is off, due to the Jamaican being unable to obtain a work permit.

The Bradford City Official Website broke the news this afternoon that due to lack of competitive internationals, he does not meet the criteria required to apply for a work permit.

The permit cannot be transferred from one club to another, and for the time being it seems, Ricketts will be staying at Valley Parade. His contract is up at the end of the season, and more competitive games for his national team will be required in order to obtain further work in England.

This leaves Rangers with less than 2 days to come up with a new plan for a goalkeeper, after the latest setback to sign good backup for Lee Camp.
