Queens Park Rangers are reportedly planning a move for out of favour Wigan Athletic striker Marlon King.

The 29-year-old striker is being linked with a move to Loftus Road by the Daily Mail today in a bid to solve the R’s striking woes.

He currently sits behind Latics strikers Jason Scotland and Hugo Rodallega in the pecking order at the DW Stadium and is thought to be keen on a move back to London.

The former Gillingham and Nottingham Forest front-man helped Watford to promotion from this level under the guidance of Aidy Boothroyd.

At present the R’s are using Jay Simpson as a solitary striker, and this move may force Magilton to rethink his tactics and provide him with a much needed selection headache.
