QPR are set to complete the permanent signing of Tottenham midfielder Luke Amos by next week, a report from West London Sport has claimed.
Amos, who has only ever made one senior appearance for Spurs, spent last season on loan at QPR, where he featured 35 times in all competitions for Mark Warburton’s side, scoring twice.
Rangers have apparently been keen on a permanent move for the midfielder – who is valued at £1.08million by Transfermarkt – for much of the summer, and it now looks as though they are going to get their man.
According to the latest reports, QPR are close to completing what thought to have been relatively simple negotiations in their attempts to sign the midfielder, and it now seems as though the signing could be announced imminently.
It is thought that Amos could now be a QPR player by the time that the squad return for the start of pre-season training, something that has been scheduled for next week.
This could well be a useful piece of business for QPR to get done.
Amos certainly showed promise at times last season that suggest he could be a decent player at Championship level going forward, meaning he could prove something of an asset for the club.
Indeed, the fact that he knows the club and has worked with the likes of Warburton before could help both parties here, allowing Amos to get up to speed quickly, while it would be another signing in the bag for Rangers reasonably early in the transfer window.
