Crystal Palace are continuing to hold talks with QPR about the possible signing of attacker Eberechi Eze, a report from The Daily Mail has claimed.
Following another eye-catching season in the Championship during the 2019/20 campaign, Eze’s future at QPR has once again been the subject of intense speculation during these early parts of the summer transfer window.
It is thought that Palace have already seen a bid of £12million rejected for Eze, although it seems their interest in the player does not stop there.
According to the latest reports, Palace are still keen to bring Eze to Selhurst Park in the coming months, with the Eagles continuing to hold talks with QPR about the possibility of signing the 22-year-old.
Palace however, are not alone in their desire to bring Eze to the Premier League this summer, with West Ham, Leeds and Newcastle all also credited with an interest in the attacker.
Even so, signing Eze is not going to be cheap for any of those interested clubs, with QPR said to be standing firm with their £20million of their key man in the shape of Eze.
It looks as though this is something that could continue to run for quite some time to go yet.
With so many clubs interested in Eze, there will be plenty for both QPR and Eze to consider over the coming months, and it is good to see Rangers standing firm in the face of that interest.
That tough negotiating stance means that with so many clubs interested, there is the chance of a bidding war escalating between those top-flight sides, meaning QPR may be in a good position to recoup that £20million price tag placed on Eze.
If a deal is to happen however, they not want it to take too long, so they can get the time they need to sign any potential replacement for the forward.
