Report: European outfit ready to battle QPR for talented winger

|

Queens Park Rangers will face competition from Levante to secure the signing of Axel Urie as they look to land the winger.

Reports emerged in the past few days suggesting that the R’s are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old, who currently plays for Guingamp. However, France Football have confirmed that whilst the Londoners are keen on the player, so are Levante and they have also made a ‘concrete’ proposal to Urie. Therefore, it remains to be seen what will happen with the youngster, who has spent the vast majority of the season featuring for Guingamp’s second team, who play in the French lower leagues.

It would be a battle for the R’s to convince Urie to come to the Championship, although Leganes are currently in the relegation zone in La Liga.

Will Bright Osayi-Samuel be a QPR player next season?

Yes

No

Either way, it seems as though Mark Warburton is on the lookout for a new winger, as QPR had been linked with Rajiv van La Parra who is a free agent after leaving Red Star Belgrade earlier this year.

Of course, that could prompt further speculation that Bright Osayi-Samuel could leave the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium in the coming months after the wide man was subject to a £3m bid from Belgian champions Club Brugge – an offer that the R’s rejected.

However, the likes of West Ham, Norwich and West Brom are also supposedly monitoring Osayi-Samuel, who has scored five goals and provided eight assists in the Championship this season, making him the second most productive player for the team behind Eberechi Eze.
