Report: Eberechi Eze drops transfer hint amid Tottenham speculation

|

Queens Park Rangers attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze has revealed how much he is loving playing for the R’s right now but made it clear he wants to test himself against the best.

The England U21 international has been one of the outstanding players in the Championship this season, contributing 12 goals and eight assists. Unsurprisingly, such form has caught the eye, with Tottenham and Crystal Palace linked with Eze in the past and reports have claimed he could command a transfer fee of up to £20m.

Of course, nothing will happen on that front until the window opens and the immediate priority for the player will be to help the R’s into the play-offs when the campaign does restart, with the side currently six points away from sixth place.

However, there are doubts over Eze’s long-term future and the 21-year-old told Sky Sports that even though he is enjoying his football right now, he wants to play at the highest level.

Is £20m fair for Eze?

No money is enough

We need more

That's a fair amount

No club will pay that

Honestly, it’s so good playing for QPR because I enjoy going in every day and that’s how you play the best football in your career.

This season, of course, I’m seeing the stuff that is in front of me but I’m not allowing it to affect what I’m doing. The most important thing is what I’m doing on the pitch and as long as I continue to focus on that, everything else will fall into place. I want to play at the highest level.”

It had previously been stated that Spurs are unsure as to whether Eze will be able to handle the step up to playing for a club that wants to compete in Europe but Warburton recently outlined his belief that the playmaker would be able to play for any side in the Premier League given his ability.
