Jake Cole made his debut for Oxford United in a friendly against Southern League Premier outfit Brackley Town.

Cole is currently on loan at the U`s from Rangers and was describes in the following light by the Official Website:

“New signing Jake Cole looked confident and solid in goal”.

Brackley pulled off quite the shock against a side two leagues above them by securing a 2-1 victory at St. James` Park, Brackley. Cole left the field after 45 minutes with the scoreline at 1-0 to the U`s.

Dean Cracknell and Danny Spencer scored the goals for Brackley after they had fallen behind to a debut goal from former Bristol Rovers forward Lewis Haldane.

Cole could be in line for his second start as the U`s travel to the Spencer Stadium to face another local side in Banbury United on Tuesday, a side on parity with Brackley Town.
