Rangers fans feeling confident

It’s incredible what difference two weeks can make in football and you don’t need to go much further for evidence of that than at Loftus Road.

Prior to John Gregory taking over the hot seat from Gary Waddock, the mood amongst the Rangers faithful was not good and nearly 75% of the fans believed we would be involved in a relegation dogfight this season.

It was easy to understand with 3 defeats in seven days when QPR lost to Birmingham, Colchester and Port Vale. The defeats against The Vale and Colchester was the writing on the wall that this season was going to be a bitter and long one and it was also the turning point in the fortunes of the club (so far…)

John Gregory was installed the day after the Vale defeat in the cup and immediately it has changed everything that is QPR since.

We have played Hull and promotion chasing Southampton and won both. Fans are cheering louder than normal. Reports suggest that the training ground is one big happy place and generally there is a feel good factor everywhere.

We carried out a recent poll amongst QPR fans and that is proof that things lately have really changed the thoughts of the Rangers faithful. No less than 77% of fans that voted think that QPR will finish anywhere above mid table. 14% feel we can gain automatic promotion. 1 in 5 of you feel we can get to the Play Offs and 43% think that we will finish around mid table. That leaves only 23% who think we are still on a cold and bitter winter of gloom that will see the R’s fighting for survival in the Championship. In the two weeks since Gregory took over, no less that 50% of you feel more confident about QPR this season.

We will print another report at the end of October to see if the mood is still good or maybe even better!!!!
