Derby County have today announced the capture of Hull City’s Bryan Hughes on a short-term loan.

The Emergency Loan deal taking the former Charlton Athletic and Birmingham City man to Pride Park lasts for one month as he looks to regain match fitness.

He will bolster a squad blighted with injury problems that saw academy graduate Greg Mills make his debut in the defeat up at Middlesbrough.

Miles Addison, Paul Green, Giles Barnes, Chris Porter, Stephen Pearson, Ben Pringle, Steven Davies and on-loan James Vaughan were all sidelined for the Boro clash, meaning that Clough had to strengthen his ranks.
