Queens Park Rangers are encouraging the supporters to be loud and proud in the coming months at Loftus Road.

With Magilton’s men picking up their first home win of the season against Barnsley, the QPR fans had their first taste of true atmosphere at Loftus Road for the first time, in a long time.

Now Magilton has called upon supporters to raise the roof and be the twelfth man to take the R’s to the playoffs and beyond.

‘The fans can be out twelfth man – it’s as simple as that,’ Jim told QPR.co.uk

‘I’ve played and managed in front of some of the most partisan supporters in this country, but – like I said on the first day I arrived here – Loftus Road is up there with the very best of them in terms of the atmosphere the fans can generate.

‘When the R’s supporters are in full voice, it really does make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck and it gives each and every player that little boost they might need at certain stages of the game.’

With two home games coming in quick succession after international duty against Preston North End and Reading, the R’s are looking to kick start their home form and make Loftus Road a fortress.

It is fair to say that Rangers’ home has been a definite positive in the past, most notably during the unbeaten season at Loftus Road in 2003-04.

If Rangers can re-create that calibre of atmosphere and make ‘Be Our 12th Man’ campaign a success then Loftus Road will be a difficult place to come for the best of Championship sides.
