Queens Park Rangers kept alive their unbeaten pre-season on home soil with a creditable away win over Wycombe Wanderers.

Cheered on by over 1,200 away supporters the R`s cantered to an early two goal lead with Gavin Mahon stooping to head home unmarked from a testing Routledge cross.

The lead was soon doubled when Patrick Agyemang powered the ball home after good work from Vine and Balanta down the left.

The former Chairboys loanee tormented the Wycombe rearguard all evening with a fabulous display on the left flank.

Gregory Vignal, set to be unveiled as the solution to Rangers left-back woes, came on in the second half for makeshift full-back Matthew Connolly and displayed some nice touches alongside Gorkss, Hall and Ramage.

Former QPR midfielder Tommy Doherty hobbled off with an injury, while giant defender Luke Oliver capitalised on an isolated error in the visitors` defence to tap home for a consolation.

In fairness the R`s were good value for their victory, keeping good possession of the ball for the vast majority of the game, with Gavin Mahon the heartbeat of the Rangers midfield.

Man of the Match: Tough to separate a couple of players in terms of their impact today for very different reasons, with Angelo Balanta a constant menace to his former employers.

However Gavin Mahon takes the honour from my perspective for his solid midfield display, never lost control of the midfield battle and displayed a vast array of passing. He capped off a solid performance with the opening goal.
