QPR Suffer Worst Ever Start To A Season Following Seven Goal Hammering

Manager Steve McClaren took the Queens Park Rangers first team to The Hawthorns for our latest Championship tie against West Bromwich Albion earlier today.

A poor start to Championship life in 2018/19 got unexpectedly worse in the second half of the game as West Brom stepped up a gear and hit six goals past us in the final 45 minutes and we really didn’t help ourselves with two penalties being conceded.

We had largely matched them in the opening 45, and although they took the lead, we had got ourselves back on level terms within five minutes as Joel Lynch found the back of the net.

That was pretty much the last thing travelling fans had to celebrate though and whatever was said at the halftime break, or whatever was in the water – well I doubt anyone anticipated what then happened.

With Financial Fair Play seeing us have a January transfer embargo, QPR fans will be demanding strong efforts in the loan market this month as the squad needs strengthening further and it’s our only real opportunity to do just that.
