QPR Strike Duo Get International Calls – Fans Will Have Their Fingers Crossed

|

Queens Park Rangers fans can welcome back pointless international breaks at the end of March as the money spinners take precedence over real football once again. On loan duo Tomer Hemed and Nahki Wells have expectedly received call ups from their countries this month.

Yesterday, QPR confirmed that 31-year-old Hemed (Brighton and Hove Albion) was back in the Israel squad for their two 2020 European Championship qualifiers against Slovenia (March 21) and Austria (March 24) as he’s proven his fitness after undergoing a hernia operation back in December.

28-year-old Wells (Burnley) finds himself back in the Bermuda set up for their Concacaf Nations League qualifier against the Dominica Republic (March 25).

Fans will no doubt be hoping that neither player picks up a knock or comes back injured given our own run of form in recent weeks as the wheels continue to fall off manager Steve McClaren’s seasons – not helped by the injuries we’ve already had.
