Sports journalists, whether they are professional or otherwise try to think of a headline that will capture the imagination of the reader. Does the above capture yours?

Paul Smith, a professional sports columnist wrote in today’s Sunday Mirror (13 January) that Gianluca Vialli is being lined up to replace current Rangers boss Luigi De Canio.

The following paragraph is a direct quote from the Sunday Mirror

“….but De Canio has failed to settle in London and continues to struggle with the language. That has led to complaints from several first team players who claim communication between them and the boss is problematic.”

“But the board had already decided to part company with the Italian and feel they require a far more high profile coach at the helm.”

Can Rangers supporters take the above with a pinch of salt or could there be an element of truth in Paul Smith’s article.

Only time will tell but if your believe in speculation it appears the writing is already on the wall for Italian De Canio.
