QPR Set For Three Player Boosts Come February

|

Dr Imtiaz Ahmad has provided Queens Park Rangers fans with an injury update this week, and it focuses in on Angel Rangel, Tomer Hemed and Geoff Cameron.

The three seniors are obviously key players for manager Steve McClaren but all have spent recent times out on the sidelines with varying injury problems. Rangel has picked up a thigh issue, Hemed a hernia problem and Cameron an ankle issue.

Speaking to the Official Site Ahmad had positive news on all three players, believing that they would return to first team contention by next month (February) at the latest.

“Angel, Tomer and Cameron are all progressing well in their rehabilitation. Angel and Cameron are continuing gym-based activity whilst Tomer has started on the pitch. We expect all three to return to action in February.”

For Hemed in particular, with him missing since the beginning of December, it’s good news for us as he had returned to his parent club – Brighton and Hove Albion – for surgery and treatment and although the other two are only in gym work and are yet to return to the training pitch, it shouldn’t be long before they bolster the group once again.

With QPR under the Financial Fair Play embargo this month following previous indiscretions, they will be the proverbial ‘new signings’ for McClaren when fit.
