Reports have surfaced that Queens Park Rangers have offered Mikele Leigertwood a new deal.

The midfielder who signed from Sheffield United in 2007, was the first capture of Flavio Briatore and has attracted the interest from Premier League clubs ever since.

Sky Sports are reporting today that Leigertwood has been offered a new deal by QPR after impressing several managers including current boss Jim Magilton.

Names such as Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bolton Wanderers have cropped up in connection with the midfielder but he is now poised to pen a deal in W12.

His current deal is due to expire at the end of the season.
