QPR Man Stole The Show & MotM By Some Margin Against Leeds

|

Saturday afternoon saw a preview of the upcoming FA Cup third round in January but Loftus Road was swapped for Elland Road as Queens Park Rangers made the trip to Leeds United.

The hosts took a 2-1 victory on the day as Kemar Roofe hit a brace, but they fought back to take the points as Nahki Wells had given us the lead halfway through the opening 45 minutes.

The less said about the decision to punish Toni Leistner for an alleged handball probably the better, but it’s safe to say head coach Steve McClaren was not happy at the fulltime whistle.

Despite the game turning against us, given their possession and chances, in some ways, few can argue about the result as the best we could’ve expected was to nick a point.

Despite that, Nahki Wells’ own performance on the day deserved credit and Whoscored made him their Man of the Match by a massive margin.

The 28-year-old scored 8.03 and given second placed Joe Lumley was down on 6.94 that probably gives its own message about the gritty performance. The top five were completed by Angel Rangel, Pawel Wszolek and Ebere Eze.

Dust down and go again.
