QPR Looking At Two Strikers As Potential Loan Options

|

Queens Park Rangers are reportedly looking at Brighton striker Tomer Hemed and Burnley striker Nahki Wells as potential loan recruits before August’s deadline window closes completely.

football.london carried the speculation but I’m not sure either player is actually new when it comes to the rumour mill this month.

The main difference in the suggested interest we hold is that both parent clubs are believed to have wanted to do permanent deals for the players but given finances are QPR’s watchword these days, doing a loan deal for either would probably suit us better as we could at least see how they fitted in under Steve McClaren before there was a greater outlay.

Whether either of these are actual targets or not, the remainder of the month will answer that question but both are known in the second tier for their goalscoring exploits and they are largely out of favour at their current clubs, so game time is an issue but this feels like convenient speculation more than anything.

Time will tell though.
