QPR In The Hunt For Blackpool Defender

|

It’s being suggested that Queens Park Rangers have joined the hunt for Blackpool defender Curtis Tilt.

football.london via the Mirror’s ticker I believe, have covered the speculation that suggests Steve McClaren has now turned his attention to 26-year-old Tilt having already captured German centre-half Toni Leistner.

It’s believed that Ipswich Town and Reading are already tracking the player after he had an impressive year at Bloomfield Road in 2017/18 – having joined them as a free agent at the start of the season from Wrexham he went on to make 45 appearances across all competitions, with 42 showings coming in the league itself. He also returned one goal.

It’s reported that Ipswich have already bid £550,000 for the player, but the League One side are looking to try and cash in at around the £1million mark. He may have had a good year, but having stepped up from non-league that kind of fee carries a risk if he looks to step into the second tier – especially with the pressure he’d be under at Loftus Road.

In McClaren we trust if we do have an interest.
