Wolves boss Mick McCarthy speaking ahead of Saturday’s Championship clash with QPR believes the Shepherd’s Bush side now play with swagger and self-belief.

McCarthy (49) told the official Wolverhampton Wanderers website

‘QPR are on the up – not just results-wise but in terms of their profile. They’ve had some investment and signed players in January to keep them up and you can see the impact it’s had. They’ve had a different demeanour compared to earlier in the season.’

‘They have a swagger and self-belief that they are going places. They are a good footballing side and have quality in the team.’

‘QPR will come here thinking that if they can turn Wolves over then who knows what might happen in the last few games. Looking at this league who’s to argue that couldn’t be done.’
