Queens Park Rangers have freed up 500 tickets for the troops of the 2nd Battalion Royal Fusiliers, based at Hounslow Barracks.

When Rangers take on Coventry City on Saturday November 28, there will be 500 free tickets for the troops whose family and friends have also received invites.

This fits in nicely with the Football League’s recent selection of ‘Help for Heroes’ as the League’s official charity.

The troops will populate the Ellerslie Road stand and will also provide a guard of honour prior to kick off against the Sky Blues.

Captain Jay Shaw told QPR.co.uk: ‘It is great to see the support and appreciation shown to our regiment by the British public and especially on this occasion Queens Park Rangers Football Club.’
