QPR Exodus Continues As Club Trim & Keep Plan For The Future

|

On Wednesday, Queens Park Rangers confirmed that another youth prospect at the training ground had moved on and will now continue his future in the game elsewhere.

19-year-old Hugo Cardoso has seen his registration cancelled after joining us as a scholar back in 2015 and then signing a 12 month contract last summer based on his development potential.

A short statement from the Official Site read.

“The club would like to thank Hugo for his services and wishes him every success in the future.”

The Portuguese youngster simply becomes the latest youth prospect to move on from us and he follows Jack Williams and Kingsley Eshun who also moved on this month.

A raft of youth players normally move on at clubs across the country over the summer, but if the decision has been taken that we need to look elsewhere, it’s probably best for all parties for decisions to be taken quickly as especially with the transfer window open at the moment, clubs will have a focus on new players and it may help them gain new employers in a more speedy fashion.

With development, more than spending, now a firm focus at the club, it also allows us to target those youngsters we feel have more potential.
