Queens Park Rangers duo Paul Smyth and Jordan Cousins have both been ruled out of this weekend’s clash with Burton Albion.

Ian Holloway will be without the services of both games as they have been ruled out with injury following assessments this week.

Smyth picked up a thigh issue in training and Cousins has developed a hamstring problem.

Speaking to the Official Site as manager Ian Holloway begins is pre game media interviews, he admitted that although neither injury should be too problematic, it does leave both players out for our trip to the Pirelli Stadium.

‘Paul picked up a thigh injury in training so he`s out unfortunately. Jordan has got a slight hamstring problem. I don`t believe it is a huge issue but we need to be careful with him owing to his recent history.’

There is some good news on the injury front for Holloway though.

Alex Baptiste comes back into contention having overcome the back injury he picked up in the game against MK Dons last weekend and saw him substituted and Massimo Luongo is set for a return having been rested for the FA Cup clash.
