Queens Park Rangers face the long trip to Exeter City in the First Round of the Carling Cup.
Paul Tisdale`s side were recently promoted to League One on the final day of the campaign against Rotherham and have since faced a struggle to keep hold of their prestigious talents including their manager.
Rangers have never faced the Grecians in League Cup competition and in fact the last time the two sides played was in 1966 when the R’s won 1-0 at Loftus Road
QPR have failed to win at Exeter in their last eight attempts dating back to a 2-1 win in April 1948.
The tie will take place at St James Park on the week commencing August 10 2009 with Rangers hoping to emulate last year`s impressive run to Old Trafford.
