QPR Defender Makes His Return From Injury With Successful Run Out

|

Darnell Furlong got 45 minutes under his belt for Queens Park Rangers last week as we took in a behind closed doors friendly with West Ham United.

The 22-year-old defender last featured for the club in May and with injury hitting, he’s yet to make a single appearance for head coach Steve McClaren so far in 2018/19 but his return to first-team contention will certainly be boosted by getting a half under his belt as he continues rebuilding his fitness following knee surgery over the summer.

QPR came out of the game as 3-1 winners but I can’t actually see any greater details.

I’d imagine Furlong will easily still be a few weeks off returning to McClaren’s plans and we’ll get at least one or two Under 23 games under his belt as a minimum first, but being able to get back out on the training ground with the other players will certainly give him a lift and a boost after his time on the sidelines and it’ll only aid competition down the line as we continue to look for further improvements this year.
