QPR Chairman’s Words Are Understandable But One Draw Shouldn’t Send Anyone On A “Bender To Celebrate”

Queens Park Rangers looked set for another one of those days on Saturday with our form falling off a cliff in recent months, as we made the trip to the KCOM Stadium to face Hull City in our final Championship fixture before the March international break kicked into play.

Finding ourselves two goals down as Jarrod Bowen had the freedom of the pitch to register a brace in the opening 45 minutes, fans could be forgiven for fearing the worst. Thankfully, in the final 45 minutes, we saw some improvement and Josh Scowen and Tomer Hemed saved further blushes in the 2018/19 campaign that had, a few months ago, shown some promise.

Taking a point on the day was a welcome relief for everyone involved but the problems are there for all to see, and much like the Leeds United victory, this is only draws a line under our poor form if we now get on an unbeaten run and give the fans something to really shout about.

Over to manager Steve McClaren and the first time.

Taking to social media to express his own relief, Amit Bhatia’s words will certainly be understood by the fans.

Whilst most on social media agreed, although the going on a ‘bender’ appeared to be a step too far for some.
