Queens Park Rangers are set to test Reading’s resolve by reportedly upping their bid for the Championship journeyman.
The Daily Mail are this morning (Wednesday) reporting that Neil Warnock is to up his bid to £1.8m in a bid to snap up the former Crystal Palace and Watford wide-man.
Despite Reading refuting any bid has been forthcoming, the Mail seems adamant that a £1.5m bid was lodged and rejected last week
McAnuff’s previous comments indicate that while he is happy at the Madejski Stadium, he is also open to a move, but this transfer saga seems set to rumble on.
Having secured a succession of budget transfers, Warnock is now looking to spend some money, but how far he’ll go for McAnuff remains to be seen.
