VITAL QPR can give Rangers fans an early indication on the club’s pre-season plans for the summer of 2006.

During a superb interview on the RIVALS website with chairman Gianni Paladini, the Italian revealed some early dates for the diary to be pencilled in.

Speaking to Clive Whittingham, Paladini spoke about the likelihood of Rangers playing two friendlies in his native Italy.

Paladini said:

“One week, the 23rd to the 29th of July I think, in Sorrento.

‘Gary and I have been in Italy this week looking at the hotel and the facilities and it looks fantastic, a really first class place.

‘We’ll be playing two games against Savoia and Cavese, just warm up matches and then we’re hoping to come back and play Fulham that Sunday but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.

‘Hopefully we’ll be able to take some supporters with us to Italy, three hundred people for three hundred pounds each or something like that but there’ll be more details later.

‘I’d like a friendly with Chelsea but I don’t fancy our chances much.’
