Rangers have completed their 2006 pre-season plans by announcing a friendly with Stevenage.

The R’s travel to Broadhall Way on Wednesday 19th July for a friendly against the Conference outfit who boast former Ranger Adam Miller in their ranks.

After fixtures with Brentford and Milton Keynes Dons were cancelled for differing reasons, Gary Waddock was delighted to announce the game with the Conference giants.

He said: ‘I wanted five pre-season fixtures and that’s what we’ve got so it should be the perfect preparation.

‘Stevenage have been there or there abouts in the race for promotion to the Football League over the last couple of seasons, so the fixture should provide a stern test for us.

‘They’ve got a great set-up at Broadhall Way and in Mark Stimson, have an ambitious, up-and-coming manager who will be keen to test himself against League opposition.’

Rangers full pre-season line-up:

July 8 – Aldershot v QPR

July 19 – Stevenage v QPR

July 22 – Gillingham v QPR

July 25 – Cavese FC v QPR

July 28 – Sorrento FC v QPR

The first game of the new season takes place at Turf Moor as Rangers visit Burnley on Saturday 5th August.
