Paulo Sousa has been sacked as manager of Leicester City this afternoon.

The former Queens Park Rangers manager was relieved of his duties by Milan Mandaric just days after issuing a vote of confidence.

A statement on the official website read: ‘The decision has been taken as a result of the club’s poor run of results this season.’

Sousa was dismissed or had his contract cancelled depending on your terminology for divulging confidential information.

Latterly he was effective if not inspirational while in charge of Swansea City, before opting to ditch them for the Foxes.

After just nine games and three months Leicester decided that a change was important and have opted to sack the Portuguese boss.

Paulo has made it known how important he feels it is to be a success in English football, and it remains to be seen whether he’ll try his luck once more.
