Charlton Athletic manager Alan Pardew spoke about the upcoming London derby with Queens Park Rangers and had some positive words for the Super Hoops:

‘I’ve seen them play and they’ve got goals in them,’

‘It’s always difficult to get a result at Loftus Road regardless of their form. They play it well, they knock it around and they mix their game up when they need to.”

Pardew continued:

‘They’ve got all the ingredients they need to be successful in the Championship and their run in the second half of the season has probably been as good as anyone else.”

Pardew will also have his first taste of battling wits with Rangers manager Gigi De Canio, he spoke of the Italian in the build up:

‘I’ve not had any dealings with Luigi but I like his style and I’ve been impressed by what he’s done so far. The big test for him will probably be next season. But he’s building nice and gradually, and that’s probably the way to do it.”

‘It’s a London derby which should add a bit of spice, although it doesn’t always work out like that. We’ve had some good London derbies this season, hopefully this will be another one.’

The last time the R`s met the Addicks was before Christmas, when the R`s were under the temporary guidance of Mick Harford, as he steered the side to a brilliant performance and win at the Valley. Pardew commented:

‘We’ve had some home games that have been disappointing and that was one of them. We’re certainly stronger now, but then so are they.’
