NEDUM Onuoha is a step closer to becoming a Queens Park Rangers player after a fee was agreed for the defender

The 25-year-old Manchester City man is on the verge of leaving the Etihad Stadium – albeit with a heavy heart – after receiving limited opportunities under Roberto Mancini.

City – his boyhood club – have reportedly accepted an offer from QPR, with his former boss Mark Hughes now intent to agree personal terms with the defender.

A brief loan spell with Sunderland gave Onuoha a flurry of first team appearances, but he seems to now be inching close to a move away from the Etihad.

Everton are also interested in the defender but would be hard pushed to match the financial clout at this stage.
