It shouldn’t warrant a trumpet blast but, considering the managerial revolving door QPR have operated since Briatore et al took control of our Club, Neil Warnock deserves a whole orchestral fanfare! One whole year as our manager and he is not just looking good, but sitting pretty on top of the Championship! In just one year, Warnock is the manager who could be about to take his team – our Club – to the Premier League for the first time in 15 years.

His expert care, tutelage and guidance; his wisdom and patience; his expertise gained from a managerial career that spans decades; his willingness to work with players he would never have worked with when he was younger (stand up Adel Taarabt!) Warnock has been a true revelation.

When he arrived, I penned an article heralding his arrival and I quoted AKUTRs’ Dave Thomas: “Obviously he comes with a lot of baggage. Personally speaking, I`ll wait and see. I`d like to think that perhaps we get the good side of Neil Warnock rather than the unsavoury side. Obviously his reputation precedes him.”

Thomas went on to note that: “He will get the backing of QPR fans. He`ll be given a great reception and I think – I hope – that he`ll do a good job for us. I think he will.”

I think we have all ‘seen’ enough now. We know what gift we have in our manager. We were patient at the start, but also gave Warnock our full backing and support – as has the Board (for which, thanks!) Bet we are all glad we did!

Today, Warnock spoke to the official site: ‘When I look back at the day I took over and compare what we had then to what we’ve got now, it’s an amazing turnaround in 12 months. I’m really proud of what we have achieved.

He continued, heaping praise on individual team members, but also on the team as a whole unit: ‘Seeing the team that we’ve built come of age has been remarkable. This is the best team I’ve ever had – by a mile.’

‘That’s not being disrespectful to the other teams I’ve managed, but we’ve got all the ingredients here that I’ve been searching for throughout my career.

‘It’s so rewarding, but I think there’s so much more to come.’

Well, Mr Warnock, from us all here at VitalQPR, we would like to thank you for the remarkable success you have brought to our Club SO FAR. Please can we now finish the job and reach the ‘Holy Grail’ of automatic promotion (with winning the Championship thrown in for good measure?!!)

It would be really lovely if you all could put down your thoughts and feelings about our longest-serving manager since Ian Holloway!

We want to know YOUR thoughts!
