QPR will have to watch out for the fleet footed Martyn Woolford as he looks to pose the Rangers defence problems and help his Scunthorpe side to their second away victory of the season. Signed for Scunthorpe in 2008, Martyn has already proven himself as an important acquisition.

Woolford`s early career saw him turn out for Frickley Athletic over 40 times and scoring 12 goals in the 2005-06 season. He was tracked by league clubs Stockport County and Hartlepool United but eventually signed for York City on 31 August 2006 for an undisclosed five figure fee.

He became an integral part of the York team and featured in both legs of their semi-final defeat to Morecambe 2-1 on aggregate and finished the 2006-07 season with 45 appearances and eight goals, after which the club exercised their option to extend his contract for another season.

Woolford joined Scunthorpe for an undisclosed fee on a three year contract on 8 August 2008. He made his Football League debut as an 87th minute substitute in 1 -0 victory against Peterborough. A sensational first season in claret and blue was capped when he scored the winning goal in the League one playoff final against Millwall in 2009, which won his side promotion to the Championship.

Martyn has been a significant coup for Nigel Adkins, and having already got off the mark for the 2010/2011 season will want to further Scunthorpe`s ambitions by netting against a Rangers defence yet to concede in the league.
